Saturday is National Prescription Drug Collection Day. This will be his 26th annual take-back day, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Most locations accept prescription or over-the-counter medications, patches, and ointments. Non-aerosol medical sprays and vials. and medicines for pets. Here are some locations around Milwaukee where you can pick up your unused prescriptions. Walgreens Warren Avenue & Brady Street 10am – 2pm Christ St. Peter’s 21st Street & Greenfield Avenue 11am – 2pm Cherry Court, 1525 North 24th Street 24th Street & Cherry Street 10am – 2pm Sam’s Club 124th Street & Leon Road 10am – 2pm Walgreens at 2826 North MLK DriveDr. MLK Junior Drive & Hadley Street 10am – 2pm Walmart Near 27th Street & Morgan Avenue 10am – 2pm Walgreens 76th Street & Capitol Drive 10am – 2pm CVS Medication Disposal Locations 76th Street & Fiebrantz Avenue 27th Street & Howard Avenue The City of Milwaukee accepts medication disposal year-round. The city of Milwaukee’s website warns never to flush or flush unused or expired medications. Drugs may not be completely removed by water reclamation facilities and may end up in rivers and lakes. City of Milwaukee Dropbox locations are open seven days a week. There are drop boxes in all Milwaukee Police Department precincts 2 through 7, as well as on the grounds of the Milwaukee Municipal Courthouse.
