Round and Round – As the calendar turned to 2023, two families celebrated the first day by welcoming their first children into the family.
The Ohio Valley couple will ring in the new year as newly-minted parents who will forever remember New Year’s Day as the day their lives changed.
WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital was the Valley’s first hospital to bring new joy. Toby Allen Baker was born at 9:19 am on Sunday and was delivered by Dr. Peter Barra. Toby, at 6 pounds and 18 ½ inches, is the eldest son of Sarah Stimpert of Clarington and Raymond Baker.
Late Sunday, Marshall County wasn’t about to give Ohio County all the fun of bringing a new baby into the world. At WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glendale, Eliana Conner wore at 4:43 p.m. Eliana is 6 pounds, 6 ounces, 20 inches and is the eldest daughter of Adrian and Darrell Conner.
Darrell Connor said he and Adrian couldn’t be happier to have Eliana in their lives.
