World Ayurveda Congress: The 10th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC 2024) and Arogya Expo were held in the grand presence of Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush Shri Prataprao Jadhav, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami. Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State for Independent Affairs, Ministry of Ayush, in his address said that thousands of people have gathered here to discuss digital health. This marks the 10th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) as an important milestone where different ideologies, cultures and streams of innovation come together.
Union Ayush Minister also announced that the national ‘Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan’ will be held on 9th Ayurveda Day at All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi on October 29, 2024. He also mentioned that it was launched. This initiative, which assesses the prakriti of over one billion individuals based on Ayurvedic principles, marks a significant milestone. Vaidya Rajesh Koteka, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, said that we now have technology-enabled solutions with Ayush Grid, revolutionizing healthcare with innovation and enhancing efficacy, safety and affordability. . He also added that “more than $1.3 billion in investments are underway from global partners.”
This biennial event is organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation (WAF), an initiative of Vijnana Bharati. This year’s edition of this landmark event will unite Ayurveda practitioners, researchers and enthusiasts from around the world. Over 5,500 Indian delegates and over 350 delegates from 54 countries have registered to participate in the four-day event, organizers said. In addition to the plenary session, the event will feature more than 150 scientific sessions and 13 related events.
The central theme of WAC2024 is ‘Digital Health: An Ayurvedic Perspective’, which delves into the transformative potential of modern technology in advancing Ayurveda. The event will include an in-depth discussion and knowledge base on leveraging cutting-edge digital tools and innovations to enhance healthcare delivery, redefine research, and integrate Ayurveda into the rapidly evolving global health landscape. This includes sharing. The event will also feature technical sessions, panel discussions, plenary and scientific sessions, an international delegate meeting, a health minister meeting, an investor meeting, and satellite seminars. The deliberations will also focus on Ayurvedic solutions to various modern medical challenges.
