Podcaster and blogger Mikhaila Peterson went head-to-head with Piers Morgan, claiming that eating steak was the only thing that saved her life.

The social media star first embarked on the controversial 'Lion Diet' after suffering for years from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, depression and skin conditions.

But 15 years after her diagnosis, Michalia, now 31, has decided to take her health “into her own hands.”
Speaking to Piers Morgan earlier this year, she said:
“I was going to the medical community to get help, but it wasn't working for me.”
Michalia told Piers, 58, that she “went back to school” to get a degree in biomedical sciences to improve her health, but later dropped out.
“Simply put, I ended up eating nothing but meat, and I think that helped the people who followed me,” she explained.
When asked how long she's been on the strict Lion Diet, Mikhaila said it's been six years.

She said she regularly eats striploin steak for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and rarely eats fruits or vegetables or adds sauce to her meat.
“You seem to be bursting with energy,” Piers said. “I mean, what do the experts say about this?”
“It depends on the expert, but usually the reaction I get is, 'You should have been dead by now,'” Mikhaila said.
On the health benefits, she continued: “Oh my god, when I was a teenager I had a hip and ankle replaced because I couldn't get out of bed.”
“I couldn't walk,” Mikhaila explained. “I mean, my baseline was pretty much dead, so I feel great compared to that.”
She added that if she had to live on just one food for the rest of her life, she would happily eat New York strip loin for every meal.

She has also completed various TEDx talks and became an Oxford Union speaker. Mikhaila works to explain her unique dietary approach to the world to help others manage fatigue and pain.
