Woman tries King Charles’ ‘military’ workout routine after monarch dubbed ‘mountain goat’

Charles III is known for many things, but being a fitness enthusiast is one of his lesser-known traits.

However, the monarch is known to follow an army fitness routine called 5BX and was once nicknamed “The Goat” by Queen Camilla because he loves walking.



With that in mind, mirrorof Amber O’Connor wanted to learn more about the routine and try out the workouts for herself.

Consult a professional before starting strenuous exercise Penny Westonthe fitness expert at the helm Maid Wellness Centerexplained that it was originally designed by the Canadian military.

“5BX is a fitness plan created in the early ’60s by the Canadian military,” she said.

“It’s an 11-minute plan with six levels that include a variety of exercises. Each level increases in difficulty, and the exercises include running on the spot, sit-ups, and push-ups,” she said.

“Originally, the Canadian military was designed because they found many pilots to be overweight, often based in remote areas with minimal access to fitness equipment.
