Omega-3 is a polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) essential for human health, obtained from oily fish and specific plant sources. It supports anti-inflammatory functions, prevents blood clots and helps to widen blood vessels. Asthma and type 1 diabetes, a study by Greenland Eskimos, which has a low incidence of coronary heart disease in the 1970s, found that the superpower of Eskimos lies in the PUFA packing oily fish they ate . Omega Oil has since become a highly regarded food supplement, but what can you do to cycling?
