This report is the first by WHO and aims to be a roadmap for building a responsive and comprehensive health system for displaced people.

More people are on the move than ever before. It is estimated that 1 billion people (1 in 8 people) in the world are migrants, refugees or internally displaced persons, and this number is on the rise. However, the health status of these groups and the responsiveness of health systems to their needs are under-researched, jeopardizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
