The study analyzed search volume data for various phrases, terms, and queries related to work-related burnout over the past year to determine which states were most affected by burnout.
“This study highlights the importance of addressing burnout as a public health concern. Prioritizing self-care is critical. Allocating time in your schedule for activities that bring relaxation. is essential to combating burnout,” a Diamond Rehabilitation spokesperson said of the findings.
“It’s so important to take time for yourself, whether it’s a hobby, exercise, or just relaxing with a good book. Sometimes, just sharing your feelings and concerns can be very important. It can provide valuable relief and guidance to overcome burnout.”
According to the study, New York ranks third on the list of states with the highest rates of burnout, with an average monthly search volume of 645 searches per 100,000 residents for terms and phrases related to job burnout.
New Yorkers conduct searches related to these terms at a rate nearly one-third higher than the national average (487 searches per 100,000 people). Among the most searched burnout-related terms in New York, “depersonalization” took the top spot, with an average of 74,300 searches per month. This is followed by “burnout” with 22,500 searches per month, and “stress management” with 13,980 searches per month.
According to the study, Mississippi ranks as the state with the lowest burnout rate.
