After a brief delay in construction of a kosher grocery store, KC Market’s long-awaited new Palm Beach County store is nearing completion.
The store is currently taking shape in a 40,000-square-foot building that formerly housed Village Square Publix near the corner of Woolbright Road and Military Trail. Located in Golf, just west of Boynton Beach, the new store is about four times the size of the original location in Hollywood.
Market owner Joseph Gopin had hoped to open in October or November, but his current goal is to open by the end of December, bringing a wide selection of kosher groceries and freshly prepared foods to the Boynton Beach area. It’s about delivering it.
“All the contractors are working flat out,” he said. “There are a lot of unexpected things that can happen during construction, but based on the situation, we don’t have any problems opening by the end of the year.”

Gopin said the new KC Market will have everything the original Hollywood store had, including a full deli, bakery, salad bar and produce selection, as well as freshly made bagels, sushi and hummus. The original store also features a new line of smoked, cured and pickled fish. Shoppers will be able to find the same products in the new market.
Taking advantage of its spacious location, the new KC Market will feature two full-service restaurants, as well as a pharmacy, fresh pizza selection, and a Jewish corner.
The restaurants are expected to open at a later date after the market’s initial launch, with each restaurant (one in the meat section and one in the dairy section) having its own space and entrance, separated and compliant with kosher rules. It turns out.
“It’s going to be a beautiful store and we’re going to have a lot to offer,” Gopin said.
Shoppers look forward to the opening of the new KC Market store in Golf.
Fans of KC Market have been taking to social media for updates, while others say they were unaware of recent store construction delays and arrived at the new location expecting a grocery store only to find it under construction. .
Karen Cohn, a New York resident who frequently visits South Florida in the winter, was one of the many people stopping by this week’s KC Market.
“I’m used to the really big kosher supermarkets in New York,” she said. “It’s really great for us to have this here.”
