Topeka, Kansas (WIBW) – The Valeo Center for Behavioral Health has compiled a list of reasons to celebrate Tuesday morning.
Valeo Revealed match month totals for October. They showed off checks totaling over $38,000. fidelity bank Giving the full $5,000 from the challenge grant, white linen was in attendance to present $3,500 raised from the annual fundraiser. Both companies said they were happy to support the cause they claimed was the key to healthy communities.
Fidelity Bank President Alan Towle said, “There’s a lot going on in our community, but when you dig deeper, most of it is caused by mental health issues, and we want more people with that issue.” If you can help, you will get better results.
Adam Vandonge, owner of White Linen, said: “Some cases are worse, some are not so bad, but everyone needs help.”
The check, revealed Tuesday, was printed days earlier and had an original total of $38,420. However, more donations have since come in, so Valeo has adjusted the overall total to reflect his eventual $41,000. Valeo CEO Bill Persinger said the funding would be most useful.
“You can buy goods and services for members of our community who are homeless and without shelter,” Persinger said. “We offer scholarships to staff who want to continue their education. And there are so many things we can do with the money we raise.”
