Riyadh — Umrah pilgrims can take advantage of up to 11 benefits during their stay in the Kingdom. This includes health insurance up to SR100,000.
The health insurance policy for Umrah pilgrims, recently approved by the Hajj and Umrah Ministry, details 11 health insurance benefits throughout their presence in Saudi Arabia.
Pilgrims are entitled to insurance up to SR100,000 in case of hospitalization or medical evacuation inside or outside the Kingdom, Okaz/Saudi Gazette said from a source.
Benefits also include: There is maximum coverage for daily hospital accommodation and patient livelihoods, including bed, care, outpatient, and medical supervision costs.
The accommodation service includes the cost of medicines and medical supplies provided on the basis of a doctor’s prescription, and you can use a shared room of up to SR600.
The maximum daily accommodation and living expenses for accompanying patients under the policy is a shared room of up to SR150 per day.
Health insurance benefits also include pregnancy and emergency birth costs up to SR5,000 during the period of coverage.
Travel expenses for a patient’s first degree relatives during the period of insurance are capped at SR 5,000.
Maximum SR500 cost for emergency dental treatment during the insurance period.
Treatment of premature babies and this does not exceed the upper limits of maternal policy.
Injuries caused by traffic accidents are the upper limit of the coverage.
The cost of dialysis in case of emergency covers the limit. Intra-kingdom medical evacuation covering policy caps.
The insurance also covers the cost of repatriating the pilgrim’s remains to their original home, and coverage does not exceed a maximum of SR10,000.
