Anger’s Kosher Bakery & Food Shop Cleveland Heights After more than 45 years in the Rosenberg family’s ownership, it was sold.
According to the Cuyahoga County Auditor’s website, the store was previously owned by Malka Rosenberg, but as of Sept. 3, it is owned by Ungers Property Holdings LLC. The owner’s name and the sale price were not publicly released on the county’s website. Three lots were sold in the transaction for the store, at 1831 South Taylor Road.
As previously reported by the Cleveland Jewish News, Rosenberg, along with her late husband, Moshe, and his brother, Tibor Rosenberg (who left to open Tibor’s Kosher Meats in University Heights in 1980), took over management of Anger’s in March 1978. Tibor’s is currently owned by Ilan Senders, Aton Senders and other members of the Senders family.
Prior to the Rosenbergs’ ownership, Unger’s was run by Sid and Moishe Davis, owners of Davis Catering Co. in the area, The CJN reported.
Employees at the restaurant confirmed the sale to The CJN on Sept. 13, but the new owners declined to comment at this time.
The store sells kosher foods sourced from New York suppliers.
This is a developing story.
