Trisha Yearwood, 60, Says This Cardio Workout Makes Her ‘Feel Like I Can Do Anything’

Her diet is “hardcore and boring.”

She got the idea to lose weight after a particularly emotional volunteer trip.

Trisha has been active with Habitat for Humanity for many years, but a trip to Haiti in 2012 really began her weight loss journey.

So Trisha vowed to stop obsessing over her weight. “I realized that I was tired of losing the same few pounds and I was tired of complaining about it,” she said. “I felt like, ‘Just do it or shut up.'”

Her husband Garth Brooks is very supportive.

He said, ‘I want you to see yourself the way I see you. I love you for your weight, and the only other weight I will love you for is whatever weight you are.”

Garth encourages Trisha to use positive self-talk about exercise and diet.

“Even if Garth makes a profit, he’s not attached to it. He’ll just be like, ‘I have to be on TV.’ I need to lose some weight,” she added. “Then he’s going to lose it. He’s not going to wake up in the morning and decide whether his day is good or bad by what’s on the scale.”
