A Conservative MP has been widely criticized for a tweet attacking a woman who thanked Samaritan for providing mental health support at Glastonbury.

Brendan Clarke-Smith has lashed out at political commentator Tan Smith, who goes by the name Supertanskiii, on Twitter after posting about his mental health, calling him a “despicable internet troll.”

She added that conversations with mental health charity volunteers “made a huge difference.”

Nottinghamshire MP Clark Smith responded in a tweet: “I’m shocked by the sneaky internet trolls on personal matters. But when I spew foul-mouthed bile on Twitter, I care little for the well-being of others. Sorry for playing the world’s smallest violin.”

Further emphasizing his comments, he added to Smith: You will feel much less angry and feel much better about yourself. “

The Conservative Party told Pink News it would not comment on the issue, but the MP’s response to targeting Mr Smith was criticized online for his anti-conservative stance.

His tweet was condemned by other Twitter users, as well as by Smith himself, and was criticized online by the Conservative Party after “a friend of mine took his own life because of the Conservative Party’s coronavirus negligence and NHS cutbacks.” explained that he began to criticize

In response to Clark-Smith’s comment, she added, “Calling ac*** ac*** is not trolling.”

“This is really insane. It’s mocking anyone who talks about mental health support from Samaritan,” Bryant said.

“Brendan Clark Smith, I suggest you remove this.”

another commenter tweeted: “I’m sure what you were trying to tweet was: The Samaritan volunteers are doing an amazing job and providing essential support to those of us facing a mental health crisis.” We are trying to provide … unlike my government, which has been ruthlessly cutting mental health services.” For the last 13 years. “

Clarke-Smith continued to comment on the issue, criticizing fellow lawmakers who echoed Smith’s post.

Clark-Smith lashed out at John Mann, who retweeted a news story about the tweet. Said: “It’s great that our so-called independent advisors on anti-Semitism are their first instinct to share posts defending foul-mouthed internet trolls.”
