Choosing the best health insurance company is not for the faint of heart. This process takes a lot of time and involves a lot more than the dollar sign. “Cost is important, but it’s not everything,” says Chris Gay, CEO of Evry Health. Innovation, Affordability, Access and Contribution Strategy, each directly impacting the cost. ”

To that end, Insure.com’s editors have put together a study that ranks the best insurers based on several characteristics, including ease of service, low deductibles, and reliability.

Data was collected for this study from a variety of sources. Primarily, Insure.com surveyed more than 1,500 of his insurance consumers, asking them to rate insurers on customer satisfaction, ease of service and insurance delivery. Respondents were also asked to rank their top three insurance company attributes and whether they would recommend the insurance company to others.

Insure.com also looked at AM Best’s Financial Stability Score and National Committee for Quality Assurance ratings.

Kaiser Permanente topped the survey’s breakout categories for Customer Satisfaction, Ease of Service, Policy Offering (partnered with Blue California), Most Trusted and Likely to be Recommended by Others. ranked as the highest.

“Consumers certainly want to save money and keep their premiums low. Insurance companyBut it’s also important to consider factors such as financial ratings, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction,” says David, editorial advisor to Insure.com and managing director of the Brantley Risk & Insurance Center at Appalachian State University. says Marlett.
