THE Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP) held a media enablement session titled “Together for Health” in collaboration with MSD and AC Health in the Philippines. The importance of broader public exposure to health topics.
The event brought together eminent scientific experts, health educators, decision makers and patient groups to provide insights and share their views through interactive panel discussions.
Hosted by broadcast journalist and health and family advocate Zin Castañeda, the session covered current trends, the impact and lessons of the Covid-19 pandemic on healthcare, and what lies ahead.
“As we navigate the post-pandemic era, we are encouraging the media to become allies in promoting health literacy. We believe that we can achieve this by making sure that we are able to achieve this,” added Executive Director Teodoro Padilla of the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines.
“We recognize and support the role of the media in informing, educating and guiding Filipinos, especially during times of crisis. We can inspire them to take control of their own health and demand better healthcare policies,” said Andreas Riedel, President and Managing Director of MSD in the Philippines.
“Collaboration between different sectors is important to ensure that healthcare services are accessible and affordable for all Filipinos. Through partnerships, we create innovative solutions and We are excited to work with our fellow healthcare partners as we bring quality healthcare closer to communities in need,” said Paolo Borromeo, President and CEO of AC Health.
