A red ribbon was sliced at 715 South E Street on a broken bow on Friday afternoon, signaling the beginning of Dr. Riley Tomsen’s new adventure at his new business, Tomsen Chiropractic. UNK and Cleveland University of Kansas products began business earlier this month before cutting out ribbons.
Tomsen, who calls Amherst his hometown, said that care, which grew up from Dr. Dorité of Carney, encouraged him to pursue a career in chiropractic care.
“As I get older, I’ve realized that private small clinics can really provide excellent, practical, personalized care. They can spend time with you rather than some of the bigger health care organizations that are rushing you.
It took several months for Thomsen and his fiance, who will be married this October. The graduation cap was worn last December, but Tomsen said Quick Journey was OK, looking for a small town like a broken bow to call his home for his clinic.
Thomsen Chiropractic is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 6pm. Wednesdays run until 8pm, with Saturdays also occasionally scheduled. In addition to traditional chiropractic services, Thomsen said he is proud to be able to offer the physical DOT and CDL. He added that he needs cash, cards and a box that checks now and is ready to go to his side to accept insurance, but is checked by the approval side.
