Everyone Active, which manages the center on behalf of Fareham Borough Council, announced the refurbishment would be completed ahead of Christmas as residents look to return to the gym.
The brand-new 100-station gym officially reopened on Saturday, December 23, offering members a “modern and inviting” space to achieve their fitness goals.
In response to members' desire for strength training, the renovated gym is equipped with a variety of new equipment, including an Olympic flat bench, glute drive machine, and linear hack press.

Additionally, treadmills, Watt bikes, and rowers offer new options for cardiovascular training.
Ryan Grant, Contracts Manager at Everyone Active, said:
“This investment has not only transformed our leisure center physically, but elevated it into a vibrant community hub that we hope will benefit us for many years to come.
“We encourage the public to come and see the amazing changes for themselves. Our doors are wide open and we invite you to come and see our upgraded facilities first-hand. We welcome you to experience it.”
One of the new fitness products is the introduction of interactive equipment such as iFit treadmills and bikes.
These new machines allow users to customize their workout experience by connecting their own maps and plans to the screen.
New equipment for people with disabilities has been added, including hand bikes, row-rows, chest presses, and shoulder presses, which can be easily adjusted to make them more accessible.
Cllr Sue Walker, Executive Member for Leisure and Communities at Fareham Borough Council, said:
“We are delighted to see these latest improvements making the Center even more attractive to our members.
“We are confident that the impressive new facilities will encourage even more local participation and ensure the success of the center in the future.”
