Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — St. Luke’s is hosting a health talk series and will be discussing physical activity and mental health in a talk scheduled for October 11th.
Exercise has been proven to help with mental health, including anxiety and depression.
With many people struggling with their mental health during the pandemic, continued exercise can affect your mood.
Lifestyle Medicine Manager Monique Middlekauf says you don’t need any special equipment to get started, even a walk outside can help.
“I am very happy to know what has been shown to be beneficial and what therapeutic approaches we can take to support ourselves and each other… I just can feel healthier and happier overall,” Middlekauf said.
The next health lecture will be on October 11th from noon to 1pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
