Bachelor star and founder of Workout Program 28, Sam Wood, said it’s okay to work out at your own pace, but it’s important to be consistent.
The 42-year-old father of four advises that results won’t be immediate, but that doesn’t mean he should give up.

“Be patient and start with baby steps. Don’t try to undo 10 years of bad health habits in two weeks,” he told Thursday’s Today show.
Wood also said there are ideal times of day to exercise without distractions. It’s first thing in the morning.
“Life is crazy, so I love working out in the morning. Book your workout as an appointment on your calendar,” he explained.
Wood concluded by stating that eating “real food” is key. This probably means avoiding processed foods, but that doesn’t mean you should deny yourself the occasional treat.

“Fill up at Whole Foods [but] don’t try to be perfect. If you want fish and chips on Friday night, fine,” he said.
Earlier this year, the entrepreneur sold his fitness program 28 by Sam Wood to myDNA for $71 million. myDNA is a company that offers personalized fitness and wellness plans based on the analysis of a customer’s DNA results.
Under the deal, Wood became an investor in myDNA, holding a 5% stake.
Wood said it’s important to eat “real food,” which probably means avoiding processed foods.
Since its launch in 2016, 28 by Sam Wood has attracted over 400,000 individual users and has partnered with Woolworths, Blackmores vitamins and more.
Sam and his wife, Snezana Markoski, have daughters Willow, 5, Charlie, 3, and Harper, 5 months. He is also the stepfather of 17-year-old Eve.
The couple have been together since they met on The Bachelor Australia in 2015. They tied the knot in her 2018 in Byron Bay, NSW.
