Having your favorite training could help you wash half the stones in just 10 weeks, new research suggests.

Participants who participated in the usual 1-hour aqua exercise class, including aerobics, zumba, yoga, and even water jogging also had their waists contracted to 3cm (1.1 inches).

Researchers who followed nearly 300 participants between the ages of 20 and 70 claimed that water adds extra resistance, increases calorie burns and leads to significant weight loss.

It also reduces pressure on joints such as knees and ankles. This can be weak in obese patients and reduces the risk of injury, they added.

Scientists from universities in Korea and China have discovered that the technology is particularly effective for women over the age of 45.

In this study, researchers combined the results of 10 individual clinical trials from Malaysia, Brazil, India, the US and the Netherlands to analyze how effective water workouts for weight loss are.

Participants – All participants who were overweight or obese were involved in a water-based fitness plan that lasted between 6 and 12 weeks.

This included attending two or three exercise classes a week, ranging from aquazumba to underwater treadmill training.

Exercise in water for just three months can trim your waist as much as 3cm, new research has revealed

Analysis of the results showed that these activities help both men and women lose weight in a few months.

After less than 10 weeks of the program, participants lost an average of 2kg (4.4lbs).

However, those who worked out for more than 10 weeks lost an average of 3kg (6.6 pounds).

Previous studies support new findings.

A 2017 Polish study found that overweight women lost an average of 3.4 kg (7.4 pounds) after six months of underwater exercise.

Study participants had a lower heart rate and also suffered from body fat loss at the end of the training session.

About 44 million people in the UK are currently overweight, according to health services.

This number is set to rise. Last week, a shocking global analysis claims. Three-quarters of UK adults estimated to be overweight or obese by 2050 are estimated to be three-quarters of adults in the UK.

Research shows that on average, Britons were not fully exercised, with 75% failing to meet the government’s goals for moderate activity for 150 minutes a week.

Speaking of new findings, researchers said they provided evidence that water-based fitness is an “effective intervention” to reduce weight and central obesity.

Learning Leader Dr. Jongchul Park, a researcher at Pukyong University in Korea, said that more research is needed to look at the larger population group and make sure that underwater movement is superior to what was done on dry land.
