Patrick J. Adams, famous for his role as Mike Ross on the hit series suittalked about leaving the show.
speak at dinners on me On the podcast, Adams spoke about his struggles with depression and alcohol.
“I wasn’t taking good care of my mental health and I was drinking too much,” Adams said. [at] End of season 7. I was in a zone where I lived my life completely unexamined. pretty miserable [and] I think he’s pretty depressed. ”
“I didn’t have any means of dealing with that depression other than spending too much money and drinking too much. And I didn’t really know how to talk about it. I was only 25. I was trying to live my life and do my job as a “pattern that paralyzed myself.” [to] Address my anxiety and fear,” Adams further added.
The actor went on to say that reaching a breaking point was what inspired him to get sober.
“They just weren’t doing their job, which not only negatively affected my relationship, but also made me an absent father. That was a breaking point for me, thinking, ‘That father. I thought maybe I should stop drinking because I don’t want to be like that,”’ he said.
