Lizzo has been giving girls some serious fitness inspiration lately.
Grammy Award-winning singer Lizzo is drinking water, staying active at the gym, and focusing on her work. She recently shared a video of herself doing a lat row/pull workout at two different times — or, better yet, at two different stages. In the first clip, she’s trying to do the workout, while in the second, a more confident Lizzo masters the same moves and nods to the camera, acknowledging her progress.
Through her caption, she sent the message to her followers that they too can achieve great things, whether it’s in the gym or in everyday life.
“If you’re reading this… remember you can do anything if you put your mind to it!,” she wrote. “Stay focused and you can do it 💪🏾.”
After enduring a rocky 2023 due to cheating allegations, the 36-year-old has been focusing on working out and promoting her shapewear brand, Yitty, in 2024. She opened up about her fitness journey and how she takes care of her body earlier this year.
“I take time every day to show my body love,” she said. of The New York Times“There’s not a day that goes by that I regret taking a walk or doing Pilates.”
She added: “I’ve been losing weight slowly and systematically.”
She also spoke about the shift from “body positivity,” a big movement over the past few years, to “body neutral,” the idea of acknowledging the things you like about your body as well as the things you don’t so much like.
The “Special” singer has received mixed messages about her body in the past, including backlash over her weight loss, but has always been a vocal advocate for embracing change, including her body shape.
“It’s okay to change,” she said in a TikTok video in 2021, documenting her body’s transformations over the years. “I love every stage of my body changing, and the feats it accomplishes every day to function are honestly iconic.”

We love every step of the way with Lizzo and how she prioritizes movement and mood along the way. Keep up the great work!
