WASHINGTON – The Telemedicine Association of America (ATA) today announced that Sree Chaguturu, MD, has been nominated as Chair of its incoming Board of Directors.
Dr. Chaguturu is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of CVS Health, leading the enterprise medical affairs organization across Aetna, CVS Caremark, CVS Pharmacy, MinuteClinic and Health Care Delivery. Since December 2020 he has served on the ATA Board of Directors.
Dr. Chaguturu said: “Telemedicine is an important part of how consumers improve access to quality, effective and safe healthcare.”
Dr. Chaguturu will serve as Chairman of ATA’s Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning in May 2024, succeeding Kristi Henderson, CEO of DNP, MedExpress, and Senior Vice President of Digital Health and Innovation Center at Optum Health. Henderson will serve as the former chairman.

At CVS Health, Dr. Chaguturu promotes the highest possible clinical quality standards to improve health equity, increase access to care, improve patient outcomes and reduce overall healthcare costs. Emphasis on Previously, he served as Chief Medical Officer for the company’s pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business, He CVS Caremark, where he provided clinical oversight of the pharmacy benefits design strategy. Additionally, he has served as a trusted advisor to employers and health insurance clients, their members, and his CVS Health colleagues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to joining CVS Health, he was Chief Population Health Officer for Mass General Brigham, Massachusetts’ largest health care system. He led the system’s accountable care organization and numerous clinical care delivery and innovation programs. Dr. Chaguturu was part of the leadership team for Objective Health, a McKinsey solution for healthcare providers. Objective Health is a specialized group within McKinsey & Company that enables healthcare providers to improve performance and outcomes. He is also an internist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Chaguturu holds a BS in Biology from Brown University and an M.D. from Brown University School of Medicine. He completed his training in internal medicine and primary care at Massachusetts General Hospital.
