Slash talks about mental health and its importance

Guest speaker Slash, one of the most iconic guitarists of all time, spoke about making music, his interactions with his longtime Guns N’ Roses comrades, and his recent collaborations with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators and Chris Stapleton on his latest album, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. While speaking to host Steve Miggs about his new solo Blues In the tribute album, Slash states that “patience is the key” to maintaining mental health in an exciting life.
“I try to deal with things calmly and without overreacting and panicking,” he said, adding, “I try not to rush things. It helps me to keep things objective and calm.”
“I’m naturally a laid-back person,” Slash confesses, before adding, “But I’ve always struggled with things not moving forward. I’ve learned over the years to slow down and be patient, and to think things through methodically and let things happen, and that’s helped me a lot.”
