Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Kello) — A longtime counselor in Sioux Falls is jailed for allegedly having an illicit relationship with one of his patients.
Roy Conrad, 59, faces six counts of sexual penetration by a psychotherapist and is scheduled to appear in Lincoln County for the first time on Monday. Court documents say Conrad convinced his victim that his physical contact helped him overcome the trauma of his life.
The victim told investigators that Conrad physically groped her. She said it started with her hugging and then he started touching her belly, which made her cry. She believed it was because of her past trauma.

Investigators have obtained numerous cards and online messages that corroborate the victim’s claims.
An online lookup of Conrad’s background revealed that he had no criminal record.
