food: Track your macros and eat based on your current goals at the time. When I’m preparing for a bodybuilding competition, I’m in the red in order to lose body fat and get as toned as possible for the show. I’ll probably make more guesses and observations.

I don’t open tracking apps when I’m on vacation. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so it’s ingrained in my daily life. Basically, eat a variety of foods as long as you reach your macronutrient goals for the day.

exercise: Monday – Lower Body (Glutes), Tuesday – Upper Body (Push and Pull), Wednesday – Lower Body (Glutes and Hams), Thursday – Zone 2 Conditioning, Friday – Upper Body (Push and Pull), Saturday – Lower Body (Glutes and Glutes) hams), Sunday – Zone 2 Conditioning

Q: Were you active when you were young?

A: I have been active all my life. I excel in physical education in school and arts, but not so much in other things like math. I was active in sports competitions. Basketball, soccer, and martial arts were the top three sports I enjoyed at school. When I was 15, I started weight training with a male friend.

What are you into as you get older?

I started learning more about weight training, so in addition to playing soccer in school, I continued to do it. She competed in CrossFit at regional and international levels from 2015-2019 before switching to weightlifting and competing in the Singapore Nationals from 2019-2021. .

How did you get into bodybuilding?

After years of doing CrossFit and weightlifting, as I got older and life got busier, my body really couldn’t keep up. , had to make a realistic decision.

But knowing myself, I only succeed in competition, so somehow I needed it. I was guided Ben, co-founder of UNREAL, ignited an old fire in me and thought I should give this bodybuilding a try. That’s why I’m here.

What are the highlights of your bodybuilding journey?

I won every class I entered and the bikini overall title at NPC Singapore Showdown 2022.

What are some bodybuilding challenges?

We face many challenges as athletes, no matter what sport we play. All the sports I’ve done have some similarities. One of the main similarities is the required mental toughness and grit. Every day is a battle with your heart.

Another challenge for me is posing. It was something I had never worked on before starting, so it was like learning a new language.

What made you want to become a trainer?

I have been in the fitness industry ever since I graduated from college. While I was in college, I worked part-time as a receptionist at the university gymnasium. I couldn’t live without sports.

Did something happen when you were younger that made you lack self-confidence?

Anxiety is normal. It’s part of being human. One of the things I deal with is body dysmorphia (which is a big issue in the fitness industry). But honestly, I was always focused on my sports performance, so my weight didn’t really matter.

As for CrossFit, all I wanted was to perform better in competition, so if I needed to be over 60 kg, I would.

When it comes to weightlifting, I’ve never been a lifter who trains far beyond my weight category. He was around 59-60 kg when he trained, so getting down to under 58 wasn’t difficult. As far as ripping numbers, cleansing and jerking under 58kg, that was my goal.

But then bodybuilding came along and honestly this was a mental battle. I appreciate that the bikini categories aren’t based on weight! Some days are harder than others, especially if you don’t. But this is why having a support system and a coach is good.

Are you happy with your body now?

LOL, I am competitive and I am never satisfied. As the games get closer, I want to get in shape and bring a better package for the show. And after the show? I’m still not satisfied, I can tell you now lol.

Have you ever received any comments about your body?

1000000% haha. I come from an Indonesian family. I have always been an outlier. Looking at my family photos, I am the only woman with a muscular physique. I grew up receiving comments about my appearance from grandmas, aunts, and aunties, but nothing crossed my mind. I kept doing what I did and used it as fuel. And from strangers on the Internet? everytime.

If you could change something about yourself, would you do it?

Disagreeable. To be honest, I have anxiety, but I am happy with who I am now. We all have anxiety, but it’s part of life. Usually these things are things we have to learn to live with.We humans are a constant work in progress. We evolve over time.
