Shock study finds vitamins C and E ‘FUEL the growth of lung cancer tumours’

Experts warn that popular over-the-counter supplements can make cancer worse.

Swedish scientists stressed that people with any type of cancer should not change their diets because of the new research.

They said taking more than needed in supplements could be harmful.

Vitamin E is found in a variety of foods, including vegetable oils, nuts and seeds, and cereals.

It helps maintain healthy skin and eyes and boosts the body’s immune system.

Women need 3mg per day and men need 4mg.

You should be able to get all the vitamin E you need from your diet.

Vitamin E that the body does not need is stored for future use. This means you don’t need to include vitamin E in your daily diet.
