Serco Group PLC announced Thursday that it has won a contract worth up to $690 million from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The contract is for about four-and-a-half years and is expected to start on July 1, according to the UK outsourcing company.
The estimated total of about $690 million, according to the company, will depend on workload volume and if all option terms are exercised.
“Serco, through the Affordable Care Act, has adopted a unified approach to operational services, customer support, data analysis, and program management with the aim of continuously optimizing service delivery and program integrity. We will help eligible citizens receive health insurance,” the company said.
