While the gym group has locations across the UK, Ryhope’s new club will be the first in Sunderland and will offer a range of exercises and weight equipment, as well as a number of free classes with qualified instructors.
The new facility is open 24/7 and Fullwell’s Gym Manager Andrew Kelly, 39, can’t wait to get it ready.

“We aim to provide a high standard at a low cost.In response to the cost of living crisis and high bills, people are looking to spend less, so there are places where people can go. Many people know that if you’re feeling stressed or need to get out of the house, a gym or exercise can help clear your head and completely change your mindset.
Jim also hopes to provide a sense of community for residents and plans to partner with the Red Sky Foundation, a local charity that provides defibrillators throughout the city.
Andrew added:
“We will be hosting many charity events in the coming months to raise awareness and funds for our cause. We wanted to create these links to give Jim a real community feel. “
Gym Group Sunderland will be officially opened on Tuesday 13 December at 12pm by former Sunderland football legend Julio Arca.
