Things to consider

There are many great articles men’s health We break down the elements that make up a good protein powder or creatine supplement. The first factor to consider is whether the product is certified by the NSF. NSF is a company that independently tests products to ensure they contain what the label says and are safe for regular consumption. If the product is not NSF certified, the only other acceptable option is to have it tested by a third party. This means someone outside the company is tasked with verifying these elements. Each item recommended here is NSF certified or third-party tested.

When it comes to protein powders, another important factor to consider is what protein source you want to consume. There are many different types of protein powder. Both whey and casein are made from milk proteins, while plant-based proteins are made from legumes and seeds such as peas, rice, and hemp. I personally go back and forth between whey and plant-based protein depending on the product. Personally, I feel the difference is negligible, as long as you’re happy with the ingredient list and choose your preferred flavor (or unflavored version).

When it comes to creatine, my favorite products are unflavored, so I usually just mix it into my protein shake or bottle of water after a workout. However, different flavor options are available if they help make your drink more interesting. Therefore, we have shared some of those options as well.
