Let’s start with the fact that chimpanzee nutrition is not available worldwide and you probably won’t find a new super bar near you. But if you’re in Europe, it’s definitely worth seeking out. Made with almost entirely natural dates, cashews, and raisins, these super bars are energy-packed, easy to eat and digest during activity, and contain 100mg of slow-moving sugar to help you ride farther and longer. You can secretly ingest free-release caffeine.
Chimpanzee Super Bar, Natural Nutrition Bar with Caffeine
I basically believe that sports nutrition falls into one of two categories. Tastes and feels like an over-engineered synthetic food (but probably effective) A solution to keep you energized during your activity, or it’s just regular (Hopefully) Carefully selected whole foods that are easy to eat on the go and easily digested during strenuous activity. Almost everything Chimpanzee Nutrition makes falls into the latter category. It’s essentially all about natural and often organic ingredients. So whenever I see them doing something new and different, but keeping it natural, my interest is piqued.
Their latest new product, the Caffeinated Chimpanzee Super Bar, is a perfect example of this.
They’re still made with a simple mix of 100% natural ingredients, with just 7 ingredients in each bar, 2 flavors, and just 100 mg of caffeine for a long-term energy boost. Contains.
Review: Natural Ingredient Energy Bar with 100mg of Caffeine
Interestingly, this is probably about as much caffeine as you would get from a small cup of coffee or espresso, or more than a can of Red Bull. But because it’s delivered slowly into your bloodstream in a soft, slightly sticky bar made of about 95% dates, cashews, and raisins, you won’t notice the jittery peak that comes with the high amount of caffeine in the drink. .
As a side note… apparently… science Caffeine absorption rates show that even coffee doesn’t really take effect until about 45 minutes after drinking it. But we all know that the mind-body reality is something different. And many coffee and energy drink enthusiasts will have rewired our brains to feel an immediate boost, even though it increases digestive function once it reaches the stomach.
Either way, every time I eat one of these bars, I’ve eaten at least 6 bars so far, I feel like I don’t feel any caffeine at all. Coincidentally, after eating this I had a little extra energy for about 30-60 minutes and was able to pedal a little harder. That’s a wonderful thing to me. Subtle extra energy without negative emotions.
But what does Chimpanzee Super Bar taste like?
It tastes like a natural bar made with fruits and nuts, and that’s it. It’s simple and effective. Caffeine for “fast-acting carbohydrates” and “sustained energy levels.”
As it turns out, the two tastes aren’t all that different. It’s no surprise since both bars share about 95% dates, cashews, and raisins, plus less than 1% guarana extract. Cocoa muffin bars primarily taste like dates, but with a slight chocolate flavor from the 6% reduced fat cocoa content. Jelly Belly is sweeter and fruitier because it uses 2% freeze-dried raspberries.
You can find both flavors on Chimpanzee’s website for a complete breakdown of each of their seven ingredients and their nutritional value. jelly belly or cocoa muffin.
More options for natural sports nutrition for chimpanzees is always a good thing
The new Super Bar is a great addition to Chimpanzee’s classic energy bar range. They already make a lot of typical classic sweet style bars. My favorites are Chocolate Espresso, Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt, and Crunchy Peanut. But there’s also a new and unique salty sports bar that we previously featured in our Editors’ Choice Awards. Olive, spicy, and pizza are great alternatives when you’ve had too many sweet bars. For long endurance events, it’s especially helpful to add a salty bar to the mix to refresh your mouth and give your stomach something different to digest.
Chimpanzee Super Bar – Price and Availability
The two new Chimpanzee Super Bars just debuted last week, so your best bet is to get them directly from the ChimpanzeeBar.com webshop. They retail for 2.50 euros each, or just 2 euros when you buy a pack of 20. Judging by the sell-by date on the bar, it seems like the expiration date is about 12 months. This is one of the things to be especially careful about at Chimpanzee Bar. Chimpanzee Bars contain no artificial preservatives, so you don’t want to stockpile more than you’ll use in about six months.
So once I eat the last few I have left, I’m going to buy another handful of each flavor. Then, once spring rolls around, I’ll probably buy 20 packs of each.
