McDonald’s new Big Arch Burger contains two-thirds of your daily recommended calories, without the fries or drink.
The fast-food giant’s latest attempt to win back customers has been dubbed a “Big Mac on steroids” because of its size.
While it’s not yet available in the U.S., it’s available across Canada and Americans living in northern states can try it across the border. It’s expected to be available in the U.S. later this year.
The Big Arch will be the fast-food giant’s first global permanent new product since Chicken McNuggets in 1983.
The new burger has two patties and is served with crispy sliced fresh onions, three slices of white processed cheese, pickles, lettuce and the new “zesty” Big Arch sauce.
All of this adds up to 1,030 calories and 66 grams of fat. Menu list.

Adult women typically need 1,600-2,400 calories per day, while men need 2,200-3,000 calories. According to U.S. health officials.
So Big Arch accounts for two-thirds of women’s allowances and just under half of men’s allowances.
The burger contains an impressive 52 grams of protein, and McDonald’s emphasizes that its menu items are designed to be an occasional treat, not an everyday meal.
“This is McDonald’s signature burger, a twist on our iconic, familiar taste,” Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski told analysts in July when he unveiled the new burger, also revealing that the company’s sales had fallen for the first time since the pandemic began.
The Big Arch is Canada After several months of testing in both countries, it was also implemented in Portugal.
Similar trials are planned in certain parts of the U.S. before a national rollout in the U.S., McDonald’s largest market.
Managers want restaurants to be able to make it at scale and want U.S. customers to like it, too. Menu items often vary slightly from country to country based on local tastes.

In Canada, at one of the screening test sites in Ontario, a Big Arch meal (with a drink and fries) was $12.59, which is about $9 in the United States.
Currently, McDonald’s largest single-patty burger is the Quarter Pounder, which roughly rivals Burger King’s Whopper.
Both are made with a four-ounce patty before cooking, but the Whopper has 670 calories, while McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese contains just 520 calories.
McDonald’s has tried to make its burgers bigger before, but that usually meant offering larger versions of its current burgers.
In January, the “Double Big Mac” re-introduced for a limited time, with four beef patties instead of two and plenty of sauce. It cost about $7 and was a hit during its month-long run.

At the end of July, the fast-food chain reported an unexpected drop in sales for the April-June quarter as customers reduced their visits to the fast-food giant.
The Chicago burger giant introduced a $5 meal package in U.S. restaurants in June that includes a McChicken or McDouble, four chicken nuggets, fries and a drink as part of a plan to lure back price-conscious customers.

A man named Steven informed his followers that the price of a steak, egg and cheese bagel was higher on the McDonald’s app than on the drive-thru menu board.
He only realized this after the app didn’t work, so he decided to drive to the restaurant and order the old-fashioned way, over the speaker.
McDonald’s also began rolling out “Cosmac” spinoffs, which are said to be inspired by Starbucks and focus on coffee and drinks rather than food. When they first opened, they were so crowded that cars would queue for hours.
