“Dumbbells were a weight that I had to dig deep into, and every event was difficult all weekend. Six events over two days is a lot,” she explained.
Tournier, who is also a SaskPro coach, said one thing he often hears is how scared people are of starting a fitness program.
“It’s really the greatest gift you can give yourself. I feel so much better and definitely stronger when I’m closer to 50 than I did when I was 30,” she said.
Known for his marathon prowess, McPherson plans to run in the Boston Marathon in April. And she, she got other women to try too.
