Mikey Moore and Richarlison to return to training with Tottenham Hotspur next week
Tottenham Hotspur will aim to end the year with a win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday 29th December. Ange Postecoglou will have to adjust his successful results without many players in a campaign that was very unkind to him from a fitness point of view.
Spurs are expected to rebuild their squad in the January transfer window, with Postecoglou awaiting the return of injured players. The Australian has provided updates on some of those players, Mikey Moore and Richarlison, and hopes the pair will return to training next week, but neither will be available for the first time in 2025 against Newcastle United. It might be a little too early for the forwards as well.
Postecoglou said of Moore and Richarlison (quoted from Football London):
“Yes, he (Moore) and Richie are in the final stages. They can start training next week. There will be some time until the Newcastle game. The plan is for Mikey and Richie to return to first-team training next week. ”
Tottenham Hotspur have just under a week to prepare for their match against Newcastle United, so their current squad is quite short-staffed, but they hope to regain fitness in time after their hard-fought clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers. You should be able to recover sufficiently. So instead of sparing Moore and Richarlison, the coaching staff can afford to wait until they are fully fit.

Richarlison’s case needs to be handled with particular care. He is recovering from a muscular injury, which could happen again if the player rushes into the heat of the game. Meanwhile, Moore is feeling better and could be included in the match-day squad ahead of his Brazilian teammate, who recently suffered his second injury of the season.
