Australian police raided a Sydney gym after a bizarre incident involving an Apple Watch (Series 7). Fifteen armed officers were unable to locate the crime scene, but only a personal his trainer wondering what exactly was going on.according to news.com.au, Muay Thai fighter and boxing trainer Jamie Alleyne wore an Apple Watch that activated Siri and accidentally called emergency services. The incident occurred at 7:45 a.m. local time on Tuesday while Alleyne, 34, was training his first client of the day.
A fitness trainer said officers walked around the gym asking who else was there.
“About 15 police officers showed up, including an undercover cop, and there were several ambulances parked in front. That’s when I started bricking myself up,” he said. news.com.au.
“They all came in and were like, ‘What’s going on?’ I answered,” he added.
Trainor said he said the officer called him. “(It) was impossible because I didn’t even have a phone.”
Police then asked Alleyne to check his phone. Alleyne was shocked to find one of his 112 emergency numbers on the list of last dialed numbers. He had received a voicemail from the local ambulance service saying that he had received a call and that an ambulance crew and police had been dispatched.
Alleyne then remembers removing the watch while training a client. According to the outlet, this was because the various exercises put pressure on the button and kept Siri awake.
Afterwards, the fitness trainer said she kept telling the client, “Good shot,” while shouting the “1-1-2” combination. Those two words of his made paramedics rush to Jim.
