Health IT company Personify Care has been awarded an A$5.6 million ($3.7 million) deal from SA Health to expand its digital patient pathway project statewide over the next two years.

The project was launched in 2021 as a proof of concept between Personify Care and the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), with support from the South African government’s Go2Gov program. Digital Patient Pathways have been implemented in over 20 specialties and in Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and SA Dental. Since then, it has eased the burden on frontline hospital staff while providing patients with convenient access to care.

Following initial trials, Personify Care’s digital patient pathway is being rolled out to a variety of use cases across the network.and Queen Elizabeth Hospital used them to digitize its direct access colonoscopy program, reducing wait times for patients seeking an endoscopy or colonoscopy.
CALHN also launched using Personify Care’s platform My Prehab is a pre-operative rehabilitation program that helps patients prepare for surgery.
Elsewhere in SA, the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is also working with Personify Care to Pregnancy Online Platform NALHN is a digital prenatal care platform that enables personalized support for pregnant women while reducing the administrative burden on midwives.
