Ozempic faces multiple lawsuits over dangerous side effects, here’s what to know

by Universalwellnesssystems

Weight loss drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy have gained popularity in recent years. Despite the side effects, many celebrities have admitted to using weight loss aids. As demand for such drugs, such as those used to treat diabetes, increases, many people are suing because the risks outweigh the benefits. Sharon Osbourne recently highlighted the risks of Ozempic, and she admitted she never wanted to be “that thin.”

Why are people complaining about Ozempic and other weight loss drugs?

Many people are suing Ozempic after suffering severe and life-altering side effects.

According to USA Today, many people have filed lawsuits against Ozempic and similar drugs after experiencing life-altering side effects. Poulsen Bronston, an Arizona resident, was prescribed Ozempic by her doctor to manage her diabetes. In 2018, the doctor who prescribed the drug told him that “its benefits outweigh the risks of side effects.”

But that wasn’t the case for Bronston, who suffered from severe diarrhea and discomfort for months, eventually requiring his gallbladder to be removed. Recalling her own suffering, Bronston said: Her eyes turned yellow and things like that. The next thing I knew, I was in the hospital to have my gallbladder removed. ”

The outlet added that more than 60 cases are pending in Philadelphia before U.S. District Judge Gene E.K. Platter. Bronston’s attorney, Anthony G. Simon, said many patients “have lifelong problems.” The San Diego lawyer explained that his office represents 2,000 people who have dealt with diabetes and the side effects of weight-loss drugs.

Van Arsdale’s clients include Monica Church and Bob Tuttle, who faced life-altering effects after using Ozempic. “I couldn’t eat anything. I couldn’t drink anything. My stomach and chest felt so burning and nothing was helping,” Church said. Meanwhile, Tuttle revealed: I can’t run or shoot like I used to. ”

What are the side effects of Ozempic?

According to Drugwatch.com, the most common side effects of Ozempic are:
