From the moment I put the Oura Ring on my finger a few years ago, I tracked my sleep and stress stats with a slightly obsessive zeal I usually reserve for high-stakes soccer matches. I’ve been doing it.
So, I was very interested in Mr. Oura’s latest announcement. Oura Ring has been further upgraded and is already available for members. This is an improved version of his stress management tool with three new features: Daytime Stress, Stress Resilience, and Reflection.

What are Oura’s new stress management features?
The wearables market knows a thing or two about “mindfulness.” Now, you can pick up any device and instantly find your daily readiness score, breathing exercises, meditations, and more. I have previously used the Oura Ring to manage stress. We want to know how the latest features work with the average user’s lifestyle.
Oura has introduced three new features to Oura Ring. These are all specific to stress: how to recognize stress, its potential causes, and ways to reduce stress. Want to know what a night out or workout did to your body? Now you can. Expect a gradual unfolding process starting with daytime stress.
daytime stress
The Daytime Stress tool began rolling out to subscribed members only on October 10, 2023. This tool is intended to help you understand the causes of stress and how to manage it for personal growth “like productivity, creativity, resilience, and more.”
The app can detect stress by looking at biometrics such as daytime heart rate variability (HRV), heart rate, body temperature, and fluctuations that can indicate physiological stress in the body. This feature helps you monitor continuous insights to discover potential triggers and patterns.
Signs may include “lower than normal HRV,” an increased resting heart rate, or increased breathing rate, which indicates a stress response. The Oura app displays four zones: Stress, Focus, Relaxation, and Recovery, with a readout that explains “which experiences increase stress and which help you recover.” You can also access the daily summary for a quick overview of your day.
reflection
Oura members also have access to the AI-powered Reflections tool, which is currently in beta for iOS (unfortunately, results for Android users are not yet known). This allows users to discover “personal causes of stress and ways to recover.” ”
Mr. Oura calls it journaling.
As you know, stress is personal and not everyone reacts or reacts in the same way. Once this feature is released, members will be able to write down their moods and thoughts for the day. You can record your voice or simply type if you wish.
AI will suggest helpful tags and allow you to access trends over time to identify triggers and times when you should prioritize your recovery. Oura said the tool helps users “connect the dots between mind and body.”
According to Oura’s medical research team, there can be “good” or “bad” stress, but they still manifest themselves physiologically in the same way. Reflection helps members recognize patterns in context, reframe, and find ways to relax when needed.
stress resistance
In other words, the Oura ring helped detect and label signs of stress. This winter, you’ll be able to map and improve your stress tolerance. This feature helps you “understand your ability to withstand physiological stress” by looking at factors such as daytime stress, daytime recovery, and sleep quality over time.
Its aim is to help members find balance “by providing insight, education and recommendations to manage stress.” Basically, the ring helps you find time to relax. result.
At the moment, members are[ホーム]You should now be able to access the Daytime Stress feature on the tab. We will update this story as we learn more in the coming weeks.
