Nick DiCeglie looks to squash DEI programs in health care education, certain state agencies

Senator Nick Deathgley It is a state agency applying for federal grants related to state healthcare in higher education and healthcare, working to limit diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.

Indian Rocks Beach Republicans have introduced the bill (SB 1710) It prevents state agencies from using federal grants or other funds from bequests, claims, deposits, contributions, income, or other sources of income.

It also prohibits potential state agencies receiving state contracts or grants from requesting employees, contractors, volunteers, vendors or agents to study, direct or request DEI materials using state funds.

The bill would allow the Attorney General’s notice process of violations or potential violations and would provide the Attorney General with the option to sue for compliance.

The bill defines “diversity, equity and inclusion” as “efforts to manipulate or influence the composition of employees related to race, gender, color, or ethnicity besides ensuring colour-neutral and racially neutral employment in accordance with state and federal anti-discrimination laws.”

Furthermore, Dei portrays it as “an effort to promote special treatment or provide special benefits to a person based on race, colour and ethnicity.” The definition also includes efforts to promote the adoption of policies and procedures that refer to race or ethnicity, or training on issues related to race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

The bill also calls for DEI’s efforts to promote “unconscious or implicit bias, cultural appropriation, cooperatives, transgender ideology, microattack, group alienation, anti-racism, whole-body oppression, social justice, interaction, interaction, neopronown, heteronomass, heteronomass, gender concepts, similar concepts, similar concepts.”

It exempts from “equal opportunity or equal employment opportunity material” designed to inform people of rights related to various protected statuses.

Additionally, the bill would require standardized admission tests for state higher education institutions with a focus on “science and medical training knowledge and critical thinking skills.” This means that entry will not be permitted based on DEI initiatives or policies.

Diceglie submitted the action on Friday. There are no friends in the house yet.
