New walk-in facility to help people in mental health crisis
Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties partnered to open the facility.
Yeah. Loli. The new facility, operated by Connections Health Solutions, is the result of a partnership between Dauphin, Perry and Cumberland counties. The aim is to seek to provide more direct support to people experiencing a mental health crisis and at risk of self-harm or suicide. The new walk-in behavioral health center, with pictures of Pennsylvania nature on the walls and soft lighting illuminating the space, is a perfect place for people in crisis to receive treatment in a hospital or perhaps even a prison. They offer vastly different treatments. If you fell into a well and looked up and saw people staring at you, who would you most want to see? That person who went into that well and found the exit? We want to give people that option. With the help and support of three Harrisburg-area counties, the new 24-over-seven walk-in center will help people 14 and older, regardless of whether they have insurance or can pay for treatment. . We talked to each other, and our two crisis programs are literally only about four miles apart, across the river. So we have been given the opportunity to rethink the way we do things and how we can enhance the support available. The facility is currently scheduled to open soon. in kharib
