Nestlé is launching a new food line for people who are eating less. The company’s new Vital Pursuit product line is designed for people using Ozempic, Wegovy, and similar weight loss drugs known as GLP-1 drugs. Fox Business Report. news releaseNestlé said: “These products are high in protein, a good source of dietary fiber, contain essential nutrients and are sized to suit the appetite of weight loss drug users.” Nestlé says the products meet the needs of consumers seeking “a tighter focus on portion control and nutritional balance” in “a variety of frozen formats, including whole grain and protein pasta bowls, sandwich melts and pizza”. He said he was deaf.
The company says the product will be available at “select retailers” later this year, with a suggested price of less than $4.99. Executives at other companies, including Walmart, are also noticing changes in consumer habits due to the rise of GLP-1 treatments. JPMorgan predicts that by 2030, the number of people taking this drug, originally prescribed to manage type 2 diabetes, will reach 30 million. CBS News Nestle CEO Mark Schneider reportedly said last year that the company was also working on developing supplements to help people taking the drug get enough nutrition.
