National Protein Day: Everyday tips for healthy protein consumption | Health

Protein is an essential macronutrient that plays an important role in building and repairing tissue, regulating hormones, and supporting a healthy immune system. Getting enough protein is important, but so is making sure your protein sources are healthy and nutritious. Despite its many benefits, many people don’t get enough protein in their diet. It’s hard to consume, which can lead to many health problems.Therefore, National Protein Day is a great time to focus on incorporating higher quality protein into your daily routine. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or a meat eater, there are plenty of delicious, healthy, protein-rich foods to choose from. At National Protein Day, Soumava Sengupta, CEO of BUILD., shared some tips for healthy protein consumption with HT Lifestyle.

1. Choose lean protein sources. Lean protein sources such as chicken, turkey, fish and legumes are excellent choices for healthy protein consumption. They are low in saturated fat and provide important nutrients such as iron, zinc and vitamin B12.

2. Incorporate plant protein: Vegetable proteins such as tofu, tempeh, nuts and seeds are excellent sources of protein for vegetarians and vegans.

3. Don’t forget the eggs. Eggs are an excellent source of protein and are also rich in vitamin D, vitamin B12 and choline. Aim to incorporate eggs into your diet in a variety of ways, including scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, and omelettes.





4. Use Protein Powder Wisely: Protein powders/whey proteins are a convenient way to add protein to your diet, but it’s important to choose a high quality, minimally processed brand. Please also note
