In partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), D.C. area agencies are encouraging residents to bring needed prescription drugs on Saturday National Prescription Drug Pick-Up Day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Drop-offs are free and confidential.
By offloading these unwanted and expired drugs, the DEA will Help reduce overdose and make communities healthier.
Dozens of locations in the DC area are participating.

Participants may bring pills, capsules, patches, or other forms of medication. E-cigarettes and vaping devices (batteries removed) can be unloaded.
However, needles, pressurized cans, and illegal drugs will not be accepted. Liquids must be tightly sealed in their original containers.
According to the Maryland State Police, The department collected over 570 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs at a collection event last October.
