As summer comes to an end, many of us will want to make the most of these last few weeks of light as long as we can, and walking and regular exercise are key to doing so.
Just 150 minutes of exercise per week can reduce the risk of a range of health conditions from heart disease to dementia, and improve mental health and self-esteem.
But we rely heavily on our joints to stay active, and our joints don’t always match up to our exercise plans.
The knee is one of the most common areas where joint discomfort occurs.
One of the first signs of tenderness is that the joint feels warmer than the surrounding skin. The most commonly reported symptoms are in the knees, hands, wrists, shoulders and lower back.
While many have heard of turmeric supplements with black pepper, few know about another natural ingredient from India that supports joints: Boswellia serrata extract, derived from the resin of the Indian frankincense tree.
Frankincense has played a role in traditional Ayurvedic, Arabic, African and Chinese medicine for thousands of years.
the study Its main active ingredient, a series of compounds called boswellic acids, has been shown to play a role in keeping joints cool and comfortable.
Lee has been taking FutureYou Cambridge’s Cool Joints+ for over five years.
“It was like a miracle to me,” says Lee Adley, 76, a former hypnotherapist and hospice worker from Milton Keynes.
“I was visiting a friend in Weston-super-Mare and we decided to visit a big shopping park in Somerset.
“I was walking around and my knees were about to give way,” she recalled.
“The next time my friend saw me she said, ‘Oh, yeah, your knee’s so bad you wouldn’t be able to walk very far.’
“But that was her mistake. After we went out, I Cool Joint+ And I decided to give it a try.
“I noticed a difference after just one week of taking it. That was about five years ago, and I haven’t regretted it since.”
Cool Joint+ contains manganese, sunflower lecithin and Boswellia serrata, a natural extract from the Indian frankincense tree.
“Honestly, I think it’s amazing and I’ve recommended it to all my friends.”
Cool Joint+ It contains a combination of sunflower lecithin and Boswellia serrata, a natural extract from the Indian frankincense tree that helps keep joints cool and comfortable, as well as manganese, which helps with normal connective tissue formation and bone maintenance.
This vegan-friendly formula is also backed by over five studies on its effectiveness.
Dr Miriam Ferrer, Head of Product Development at FutureYou Cambridge, developer of Cool Joints+, explains: “Boswellic acids are poorly absorbed by the body, so when combined with lecithin phospholipids, absorption is increased by up to four times compared to other standardized extracts.”
Lee continues: “I’m 76 and work three to four days a week in the local hospice shop. It’s an old bingo hall so I walk around five miles per shift. I’m always moving – it’s great exercise. I have a Kool Joint+ every day – I couldn’t live without it.”

Wembley Campling, 75, from Ryehall, Rutland, agrees.
“I had never heard of boswellia until my wife found an article about it online.”
“I drove trucks for almost 40 years and that took some toll on me, especially on my joints.
“I had to retire at age 63 because I just couldn’t take it anymore. The pain subsided for a while but it came back. I was willing to try anything.”
After learning about Boswellia, Wembley tried it. Cool Joint+ To see if anything has changed.
“It was quite an eye-opener, to be honest,” Wembley said after taking the supplements for two months.
“We live in a little village about two miles from town and now I often walk there and back, whereas before I couldn’t do that because my joints would get too hot. It’s unbelievable.”
“Over the years I’ve tried countless things, but nothing has ever worked like this. I have nothing but praise for it.”

“Many people have heard of curcumin, which is found in turmeric, but not many know about boswellia,” Dr. Feller continues.
