I have struggled with my mental health. It feels so strong to admit it publicly for the first time. I am not the only one battling depression and anxiety. I am not special or brave enough to do so, but this is a part of my daily life, and thankfully, it has become much more normal in recent years. There is no shame in struggling anymore, and there is no shame in asking for help. Getting that help is another matter, and there are no easy solutions, but acknowledging the struggle is the first step in the process. For me, that process began over six years ago, but for others, the journey may just be just beginning.
