As someone with a persistent gluten intolerance, not to mention a busy schedule with limited time to cook, having healthy pre-made gluten-free meals shipped to my home was appealing. It was a proposal. However, the quality of the diet program is determined by the taste of the food. I tried his 10 day’s worth of Modify Health cooked meals and the service offers delicious meals made with wholesome ingredients and nothing junk, all at a fair price. He gave me
We found this nutritious frozen food subscription to be an excellent option for those who want to eat better but cook less often or not at all. Here’s how the service works and my first-hand review of Modify Health meal delivery.

What does the Modify Health diet look like?
Modify Health foods range from the super basic to the slightly inventive, with over 40 recipes to choose from per week to keep most meal plans interesting. There are dozens of plant-based recipes each week and several fish and seafood meals to choose from. Salmon is the most commonly used seafood protein. Lean snacks can also be found, along with more comfort-style recipes such as chicken ball stew. Most Modify Health meals are 400-500 calories and contain relatively high amounts of protein and healthy vegetable and grain elements. Few include empty carbs such as white rice or mashed potatoes.
All nutritional information for each meal is provided on the website prior to meal selection and on the back of the package after arrival.
You can order from 6 meals per week and cancel at any time.
Modify Health works like most prepared meal services, with a few key differences. This is a subscription service, but you can pause, cancel or skip weeks without penalty. Meals arrive frozen and must be thawed before serving or stored in the freezer. It’s a fairly low commitment service compared to other services that require a larger minimum order quantity.
Changes in medical prices
Modify Health’s pricing is simple, and like most services, meal prices don’t change based on how many meals you order. A flat dinner entree is $13 and breakfast is $10, whether you order 6 or 36 meals. shipping fee is free.
Modify Health costs $13 with free shipping, which is about average for the ready-to-eat meal delivery category. Not expensive, but not a true budget choice.
Simple but delicious diet food
I tried six meals from Modify Health on the gluten-free plan. The meal or two were a little basic, but I liked most of what I had. The meat was tender and cooked to proper doneness. The sides weren’t overcooked or foreign and most of the veggies remained springy.
Most Modify meals are about 9 or 10 ounce meals. The portion was sufficient and I was never hungry. Foods are designed to be slightly less seasoned to avoid excess salt and FODMAPS, so you might want to keep the following in your jar: Lawries or bottle hot sauce handy.
avoid breakfast meals
The Modify Health breakfast menu was my least favorite. I don’t think scrambled eggs are made to be reheated. Unless I have a very forgiving palate, I would probably avoid breakfast recipes altogether.
Optimal heating method for health foods
Most meals only mention how to heat them in the microwave, but in most cases it’s best to ignore them. If you have a little more time, we recommend using a non-stick pan or fryer to heat Modify Health meals. Both methods give better results than the microwave.

Final verdict on health changes
It’s one of the best diet-friendly prepared meal services I’ve tried, with highly customized plans to help you manage your health and improve your overall eating habits. I found the food to be delicious and well prepared, although it was a little bland at times, but nothing that a shot or two of hot sauce couldn’t fix. That being said, the food at breakfast was bad and I recommend avoiding it entirely.
Modify Health’s simple pricing is also a boon for the service in my eyes, and $13 is a fair price considering the quality. Already affordable, the service’s free shipping policy boosts it even further, with some offering fees as high as $20. If you have trouble eating well, or are battling a food intolerance or health condition, Modify Health can help you because proper nutrition can help. Designed with you in mind. A subscription to healthy, diet-friendly meals certainly got the stamp of approval from this gluten intolerant as well.
fresh & lean is still my favorite healthy meal delivery service, but it doesn’t serve as many health conditions as Modify Health, such as low-FODMAD, diabetes-friendly, and low-sodium. If one of these niche meal plans could be your key to living a healthier life, Modify Health is definitely worth a try.
