Fox was forced to step back from acting after speech problems prevented him from continuing. he says“But I could no longer rely on my ability to speak at any given time, and I was no longer comfortable acting.”

One of Fox’s first symptoms of Parkinson’s disease was an unstoppable spasm of the little finger on his left hand. “We didn’t know what to expect” Fox says“We didn’t know what was going to happen. We didn’t know. You know, no one could tell when it would have more impact. I had more symptoms than I had. [doctors] I just said I would come.”

Difficulty walking typical of people with Parkinson’s disease. “I have a wheelchair that I use occasionally, but it still sucks.” Fox says“Dinner is probably a struggle, going to a restaurant or climbing the stairs to where your family is eating. There is, and that’s great.”.

Memory problems are a common symptom of Parkinson’s disease, which Fox has fought. “When we did ‘The Good Fight,’ which is a spin-off of ‘The Good Wife,’ he couldn’t remember the lines. He couldn’t remember the lines because it was blank.” Fox says“I can’t remember five pages of lines. I can’t. So I’m going to the beach.”

Slow movements are another common symptom of Parkinson’s disease. “Your gyroscope seems to be off” Fox says“I can tremble. I can slow down. I can wake up feeling festive.” [involuntary shuffling of the feet] And I say, ‘I’m going to have a hard time today. Fox remains positive and says he feels lucky despite his struggles. When I go with him to the hall, he is jerky and says, “Be careful, Dennis, you might put your elbow in his face.” “
