(Lander, Wyoming) – Mental Health Monday, a coffee time weekly segment on KOVE 1330 AM/107.7 FM hosted by Vince Tropea, continued today with guest Corporal Jed Morgan, a battle-wounded Jed Morgan The Guardian Project and the White Hart Foundation.
The Guardian Project is a form of mental health-focused eco-adventure therapy led by Morgan for a group of veterans. With other mentors like NAVY veteran Jordan Stevensonremote outdoor tours aimed at improving mental and physical health.
This unique environment creates a comfortable space where veterans battling post-traumatic stress and military sexual trauma can open up and connect with others who have gone through similar experiences.
Corporal Morgan was in Lander last week for the White Hart Foundation After-hours eventand stopped mental health on Monday to share his story, his introduction to mental health therapy, the long-term toll of PTSD, and how Project Guardian is an invaluable mental health service for veterans. I agree.
White Heart Foundation founder Ryan Sawtelle was also in the studio to give some background on the formation of the group and the Guardian Project.
