CBD products have been subject to a major recall by the Irish Food Safety Authority, as they are considered “unapproved novel food products”.
A total of 23 types of CBD oil dietary supplements sold by The CBD Store are novel food products that are not allowed to be sold on the EU market and are therefore subject to withdrawal.
These various batches of CBD oil make up all the products sold at CBD Store CBD Oil Food Supplements. All batches and expiration dates are subject to recall.

The recalls contain CBD oil in a variety of strengths and flavors, which according to the box contain no THC, and all weigh 30 ml. Flavors include bacon, orange, and cherry.
Retailers are asked to remove all The CBD Store CBD oil dietary supplements from sale, while consumers are advised not to use the related dietary supplements.

According to the FSAI, a novel food is a food or food ingredient that was not significantly available on the EU market before 15 May 1997.
